Faculty – Get ahead of the Spring 2025 semester

Dear Faculty,

As we near the end of the Fall 2024 semester and navigate the quick transition between the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters, we would like to share a few tips and reminders to assist you in getting your courses ready for the upcoming semester.

  • Semester Start-Up Guide
    • Don’t wait to create your spring courses! If you do not already see your course sections, you can create your sections right now using the Faculty Webcourse Manager.
      • If you do not see an assigned course section in the FWM, reach out to your department scheduler to have the issue resolved in plenty of time before the start of the semester.
    • Combine your course sections early! You may combine your courses until the day before classes begin. Once students have access to your course, however, you cannot use the Faculty Webcourse Manager to complete this action. To uncombine sections at any time you must contact Webcourses@UCF Support.
      • Uncombining sections after the semester has started may result in the loss of content and student submissions and grades.
    • Academic Engagement. Remember to set up your Required Academic Engagement Activity.
    • Simple Syllabus. As a reminder, all faculty are required to post their syllabus in their Webcourses@UCF section using Simple Syllabus by the first day of the session. Learn more about Simple Syllabus and UCF Policy 4-403.

Please contact Webcourses@UCF Support if you have questions or need assistance.
