Materia Maintenance December 12-19

Materia, UCF’s interactive learning tool for creating engaging, game-like course widgets, will be down for maintenance December 12 through December 19. 

This downtime enables the Center for Distributed Learning to implement a major update to the platform, including enhancements to backend performance and Canvas (LTI) integration.

What Happens Next?

• No existing data in Webcourses or Materia will be lost.
• Materia will be fully operational by the end of the university’s holiday break.
• When the Materia application is restored, instructors will need to re-enable Materia in their Course Navigation menu.
