Attention Faculty: MS Teams LTI Deprecation

Teams Classes and Teams Meetings integrations with Webcourses@UCF (Canvas) have been deprecated by Microsoft and will stop working on June 15, 2025. To avoid a mid-semester disruption those integrations will be removed from Webcourses@UCF (Canvas) on Monday, May 5, 2025. Microsoft plans to release a single integration that merges the functionality of the deprecated integrations. Once Microsoft releases this new tool, UCF will work diligently to test and install it.

If you are not currently using the Teams Webcourses@UCF (Canvas) integrations, there will be no impact to your courses.

Any existing Team created via the integrations, including those continuing to sync via an LMS integration, will not be disrupted by this change. The link directly to any Team or channel can still be shared with Team members to provide direct and easy access to any existing Class Team. Any meeting created via the Teams Meetings LTI will remain on calendars or as an active channel meeting based on its schedule and recurrence. A direct link to Join the meeting can still be shared with students.
