Video@CDL is an EMMY® Award-winning team at the Center for Distributed Learning. We produce and manage multimedia for online classes at UCF.

We offer a wide range of multimedia production services and project development. While our main goal is to create digital media experiences for UCF’s online courses, we also work with on and off campus organizations on special projects.

Using the latest in production technology, our fun, innovative, and multi-faceted team partners with faculty to meet the ever-growing media demands of online education.

Aaron Hosé has been actively involved in the film and video industry for over two decades. He’s produced, directed, shot, and edited short and feature documentaries, commercials, educational and non-profit videos, as well as television and web series. His productions have screened at hundreds of film festivals worldwide and have been distributed on digital platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and Tubi. Aaron’s work has been recognized with multiple industry awards and honors, including twenty-five regional EMMY® nominations resulting in twelve EMMY® Awards, including wins for Producing, Directing, and Editing.

Aaron is a graduate of the Valencia College Film Technology Program, earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Central Florida, and his Master of Fine Arts in Film from the UCF Nicholson School of Communication and Media. As Lead Video Producer for UCF’s Center for Distributed Learning, Aaron manages the creation of engaging, custom-made audio and video content for the web and e-learning applications.

Award-winning producer/director Christine Kane has spent the last decade working in the professional film and video industry. She previously worked as the Online Course Media Developer for the University of North Florida, where she created custom-designed videos, animations, and graphics for the online course environment. Her docuseries for CDL, A Break for Impact, which follows the humanitarian crisis along the Texas-Mexico border, won her a 2020 regional EMMY® Award. Since then she has earned seven more EMMY® Awards; including for the follow-up series, Crosses in the Dust, which was filmed in the Sonoran Desert along the Arizona-Mexico border, and for the short documentaries What We Came From, produced in Tijuana, Mexico, Beneath the Same Sky, produced in El Paso, TX, and A City that Cares, also in El Paso.

Christine is a graduate of the University of Florida and an Orlando native.

George David Lopez has over twenty years of experience working in documentaries, feature films, shorts, corporate instructional video, fund-raising media, television news, and commercials. He graduated from Fitchburg State University with a B.S. in Communications Media and then served in the United States Air Force as Combat Cameraman. He is currently enrolled in the Feature Film Production MFA track at the UCF Nicholson School of Communication and Media.

George is an EMMY® winning producer/editor and motion graphic designer who's worked for clients such as Fox 35 News, Orange TV, Universal Studios, Walt Disney World Fine Arts Photography, FEMA, Women in Film, UCF College of Medicine, Jewish Impact Films, and the NFL Alumni Association of Central Florida. He previously worked as a Course Director at Full Sail University teaching editing and visual effects, and as the Film Director at the F.I.R.S.T. Institute where he developed and oversaw their film program.

Tim Reid is an award-winning video producer with over 20 years of industry experience as a director, cinematographer, editor, and digital animator. He was born and raised in Maryland and moved to Orlando to pursue higher education, and has earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art and Design, Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree in Film Production, and an Associates Degree in Recording Arts.

With this diverse background, he thrives in various roles and responsibilities across the entire production spectrum. He has been privileged to provide artistic and technical leadership for a number of projects and initiatives, both live-action and animated. Tim is passionate about art, music, film, and technology and is inspired by those fields to bring the same level of creativity and excellence into projects focused on education.

His work has been featured in art galleries and film festivals across the United States and France, and has been recognized with five regional EMMY® Awards.
