Pavel Zemliansky, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Writing and Rhetoric, College of Arts and Humanities, was awarded the Chuck D. Dziuban Award for Excellence in Online Teaching by the Center for Distributed Learning (CDL). The award presentation occurred during the Showcase event that concluded the spring section of CDL’s faculty development program for online and blended teaching, IDL6543. Dr. Zemliansky received the 2013 Dziuban Award for demonstrating excellence in online teaching for his course, ENC6247 Proposal Writing.

Recognition
The winner received an iPad tablet along with a stipend to attend the Sloan-C Asynchronous Learning Networks Conference in Orlando.Honorable Mentions

Named after UCF’s Chuck Dziuban, the award recognizes one outstanding UCF faculty member who has taught at least one blended or fully online course within the previous academic year. Dziuban is an internationally acclaimed leader in online learning and, among many other recognitions, was named UCF’s first Pegasus Professor and is currently a Professor Emeritus.
