Online Course Support for the UCF Downtown Campus

The Downtown Campus is a partnership between UCF and Valencia College. Some courses you take may be co-listed, meaning that the course is open for enrollment to students of both institutions. Students attending Downtown co-listed courses may find access to electronic resources or webcourse material for these classes is different than courses taught at other UCF or Valencia campuses. If you have questions about your course, please review the common questions and answers, below. If you still cannot find an answer to your question, contact your instructor or academic advisor for assistance.

Important to Know

If you do not attend the course within the first week of classes, you will be reported as a “no show” and the specific policies of your home institution will be followed. This is a federal regulation and may impact your continued enrollment in the course or the awarding of federal financial aid. UCF requires that students who do not attend the first day of a course or participate in first week attendance activities be marked as absent, thereby becoming ineligible for federal financial aid.

What does it mean to be present on the first day of class in an online course? For online courses, attendance is determined by logging in, accessing the course content, and completing activities as assigned. You are expected to know the professor’s specific attendance policy as stated in the syllabus for each professor’s course. In the event of absence from a classroom course or the inability to participate in an online or hybrid/mixed-mode course, you should contact your professor as soon as possible to indicate the reason and to inquire whether make-up work is possible.

The Webcourses To-Do List Does Not Show for UCF Students in Downtown Co-Listed Courses

If you are a UCF student enrolled in a Downtown co-listed course, when you first log into your Dashboard your To Do list currently does NOT display your course assignments. This is a known bug and is being fixed by the software company. In the meantime, be sure to actually click on your course so you can see when assignments are due.
