Creating Accessible Hyperlinks in Webcourses@UCF

A best practice when creating hyperlinks is to use descriptive text for the link. Students using assistive technology can tab through all of the links on a page to find the link they want to visit. If all of the links use the text “click here,” it is difficult for all students to quickly find a specific link.

How to add a Hyperlink to a Page in Webcourses@UCF

  1. Access your course and click on Pages.
  2. Click on View All Pages and select the one you’d like to edit.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Rich Content Editor, click on the Hyperlink button.
