Create Quizzes Using Question Banks

Using Question Banks

This guide may be useful for creating cumulative finals or any other cumulative quizzes in your courses from question banks.

The following is a screenshot of three example instances of using questions from a question bank:

When you finish making changes to questions make sure to always click on the blue “Save” button in the bottom right of the page.

As you can see, the only example that shows a clear link to a particular question bank from the edit Questions view is the second example, which links to a question bank to pull questions randomly from whatever selections you made.

Since it is random, it is always possible to organize specific questions you want into a new question bank by importing, say for example, five questions from a larger bank of questions into a new one titled something like “Questions for Quiz 1 from Activity Feedback bank” and then use the second example’s method above. That way you will know exactly which questions are being used via the actual, smaller question bank being used and you will be able to quickly see in the Questions area of the quiz where you got the questions from via the link that would be next to “Questions will be pulled from the bank:”.

Hopefully this provides some clarity about the different options available to add questions you may already have to quizzes in Webcourses and under what circumstances you can see the exact name of the question bank questions are being pulled from.

If you need help with moving/copying questions between question banks please reference the guides on those topics available in the Instructor Guide.
