Configuring Flash with ProctorHub

During quizzes that are set up to be viewed one question at a time, ProctorHub may cause Flash to ask for permission to access your computer’s camera and microphone on each question. The following steps will allow you to permanently grant this permission.

OS X

  1. Click the Apple icon and select System Preferences…

  2. Click Flash Player.
  3. Select the Camera and Mic tab.

  4. Click Camera and Microphone Settings by Site…
  5. Click the + icon.
  6. Enter proctorhub.cdl.ucf.edu in the Website Domain field.
  7. Select Allow from the When this site wants to use a camera or mic dropdown menu and click Add.

Safari

If you are using Safari to take your quiz, please complete these additional steps.

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Go to Preferences.

  3. Click on Advanced.

  4. Click on Show Develop Menu in the Menu bar.

  5. Click on Disable Cross Origin Restrictions under the Developer Menu.
  6. When you are done taking your ProctorHub exam, be sure to Reenable Cross Origin Restrictions.

Windows

  1. Click the Windows/Start button and select Control Panel.
