Configure Flash with ProctorHub

During quizzes that are set up to be viewed one question at a time, ProctorHub may cause Flash to ask for permission to access your computer’s camera and microphone on each question. Certain browsers also require Flash to be enabled. The following steps will allow you to permanently grant this permission.

macOS

  1. Go to webcourses.ucf.edu and log in before completing these steps.
  2. Click on Safari -> Preferences -> Websites
  3. Enable Adobe Flash Player by clicking on the checkbox.
  4. Set webcourses.ucf.edu to On
  5. Click on Safari -> Preferences -> Privacy
  6. Make sure “Prevent cross-site tracking” is Unchecked
  7. Click Allow when prompted.

Reenable After ProctorHub Exam

When you are done taking your ProctorHub exam, be sure to Reenable Cross Origin Restrictions in the Developer Menu.

Windows

  1. Click Flash Player.
  2. Select the Camera and Mic tab.

  3. Click the Camera and Microphone Settings by Site… button.
  4. Click the Add… button/.
  5. Type proctorhub.cdl.ucf.edu in the Website Domain field.
  6. Select Allow from the When this site wants to use a camera or mic dropdown menu and click the Add button.
