Determine Knowledge

Determine Knowledge is an optional component at the start of Webcourses@UCF Personalized Learning assignments. If you choose to complete Determine Knowledge, Webcourses@UCF Personalized Learning will give you questions from throughout the assignment to test your current knowledge on the module topic. If you perform well on certain topics, you may be able to bypass those lessons and you will not have to go through those nodes unless you choose to do so. It is important to be honest in your answers so the system can use your responses to map out your personalized learning path, identifying areas you should focus on more, while allowing you to skip content you already know.

Verify Knowledge

For repeating students, Verify knowledge will be recommended as their first step. This is a required activity for grades to be passed back to Canvas. Click on the “Verify Knowledge” button to see how much you recall and to determine if you need to go deeper to refresh your knowledge. The knowledge you demonstrate will be factored into your overall beginning mastery score.

Learning Map

If you choose not to complete Determine Knowledge, selecting the Learning Map will allow you to begin the assignment from the beginning. You will have to complete all lessons (both content and questions) and work your way across the learning map from left to right.
