Dr. Luke Bennett
Luke officially joined the CDL team in the summer of 2013 as a full-time Instructional Designer. Luke holds an EdD with two specializations: Instructional Technology and Instructional Leadership/Curriculum Development, an MA in Teaching, and a BA in Psychology. Before becoming part of the ID Team at CDL, Luke spent 16 years in secondary education. Throughout his career in secondary education, he held both teaching and administrative positions. Luke has also taught graduate and undergraduate courses in both online and face-to-face environments.
Luke became interested in instructional design and online education through his graduate coursework and his experience facilitating online courses. He realized the power and potential that well designed online instruction has to reach and educate students globally. Luke has presented at several professional conferences and is a member of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT). His research interests include integration of technologies for learning, mobile learning, and technology choices.
Luke is a native Floridian born and raised in Miami, FL. He relocated to Central Florida in 2002. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, and is an avid cyclist and runner.
