In the summer of 2011, Aimee joined the Instructional Design team at the Center for Distributed Learning. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UCF in 2000. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology at East Carolina University in 2005, where she took her first online course. Through this experience, she discovered her passion for online teaching and learning.

Aimee has taught social science and education courses at the college level since 2005 and has served as a technology consultant for a K-8 STEM school in Ohio. She graduated with a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Cincinnati in 2011. Her research interests include eTextbooks, online discussion strategies, virtual worlds, and technology and gender. Dr. deNoyelles has published in several journals including Computers & Education, Journal of Asynchronous Learning Networks, Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education, and Journal of Special Education Technology.
